Hi folks!  Travis here. You may have met me already, but if not, I hope we get to meet soon.  I’ve been with Nexus IT Consultants now for three years. Working here is so great. It feels like just yesterday that I joined this fantastic team. The employees here are great, and we have terrific customers and partners as well.

My favorite part of working here is being empowered to be creative and find solutions. I attribute the success that Nexus has had over the past 20 years to the integrity of our team and their ability to move with technology trends.  We aren’t stuck in our ways, like other IT companies. We’re always looking for innovative solutions to help our clients achieve their goals.

The entire IT service industry is stuck because most companies like ours operate under a reactive model rather than a proactive one. This is essential today as businesses rely on their technology more than ever. Without a reliable, secure and efficient system, their operations would collapse. Plus, with the cyber mafias out there always looking for ways to steal your data, you need a proactive team to shut them down before they get into your workstations, laptops and mobile devices.

My Journey To Becoming Your Salt Lake City Technology Specialist

I’ve worked in the Sales and Account Management field for nearly 20 years. My experience originated in the Commercial Financial Services and Banking Industry.  I transitioned into professional and B2B Sales and Sales Management. I’ve also owned and operated multiple companies, so I know a lot about running a business.

I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management in 2001 from the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business. I am also a member of the Sandler Sales Institutes’ Presidents Club.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and four kids. I’m a Competitive Baseball Coach and avid attendee of my three daughters’ dance recitals and competitions. So, as you can see, grass doesn’t grow under my feet.

On a more personal note, the PR folks here wanted me to answer some interesting questions.  Here we go:

1. Name the funniest problem that has happened on a job with Nexus IT. I laugh every time I think about Brandon Jeanpierre our Field Service Technician in Central Utah.
2. Name the biggest problem that Nexus IT has solved. We’re constantly working to fix a broken IT industry, by delivering proactive IT solutions.
3. If you could have a conversation with any historical figure, past or present, who would it be and why? I would like to sit down with all of my ancestors.
4. What would you do if you won the lottery? I’d buy a sports team. Then I’d coach it!
5. What’s your favorite pastime? I love to travel, I love to spend time with my kids, and I enjoy watching or participating in any sport, but particularly baseball.
6. If you could choose anywhere in the world, where would you travel? I have yet to go to both Africa and Japan.
7. What are your favorite foods? Steak and Sushi – I’d love to go to Japan and try some there.
8. What piece of technology makes your life easier? My iPhone.
9. If you had one weekend to do absolutely anything, what would you do? Eat each meal in a different city.
