Nexus IT Consultants’ Earl Foote recently joined Todd Astill from Nerve Inc. on Mountain Connections to talk about the new COVID-19 Business Leaders Collective.
The COVID-19 pandemic has forced a majority of businesses to close their doors and try to stay afloat while they wait for the opportunity to safely reopen. For many of the businesses, closing down for this long has put them on the verge of going out of business. Of the 30,000 employees working in the local county, at this point, nearly 7,000 are out of work.
As the country looks to start reopening nonessential businesses in order to support the economy and get people back to work, Nexus IT Consultants’ Earl Foote has joined forces with other local business leaders to make sure it’s done safely and effectively, while creating economic activity as soon as possible.
“We thought, as business owners, we could start to put together some ideas on how we could responsibly and safely reopen and get people back to work in this county,” says Todd Astill, Nerve Inc.
Known as the Summit Commerce COVID Collective (SCCC), Earl joined Todd to talk about the organization and what they’re planning on a recent episode of Mountain Connections:
“We see that there are so many in need in our community,” says Earl. “We don’t want the amazing diversity that we have in our small business community to go away.”
The best way to get in touch with the Collective and get involved is by looking up Earl and Todd on LinkedIn, or by getting in touch with them through their companies.
“We want to figure out a way with local leaders in the community so that we can safely get back to work while protecting human life as well,” says Earl.
